status

I have stopped to think about this for a while, because, as you know, I do not really envision myself making cute hats much. What I envision doing is: intricate pieces and tapestries. I also envision doing more and more of the plarn enhanced pieces, but not "scrubbies" or the like. I want to make things of beauty and inventiveness.

So I plan to keep doing this. I plan to keep documenting and photographing and inventing. I plan to make intricate gifts, for instance. I do not want to make cute hats; I want to make art.

(I do like making hats, but not cute ones.)

So this is where I am. I am working on the afghan for Emily, and I'm having a good time on it. I'm working on the bag designs. I have a new tapestry "picture" in my head that I hope to get on paper soon if I can make my hand put it on paper like my brain wants.

Yarn and plarn again. The resulting fabric is not too stretchy, not too rigid. I'm really pleased with it.

The first plarn/yarn experiment. It's pretty ugly.

I'm playing with primitive dog motif. A curly tail is vital, but this one kind of looks like a cat's tail. Still, I like it.

Wow, I had forgotten about this afghan. I made it for my sister a very long time ago, when I was a teenager.
